General information

Through the Minnesota Rush Rec league, teams play other teams from Rochester and the nearby surrounding communities. To encourage a fun and developmental atmosphere, each child plays at least half of each game, no matter the skill level. Scores and league standings are not recorded.

This is a volunteer based program- all coaches are volunteers. Some coaches will have soccer experience and others will not. Our full time coaching director will work and guide each coach.

Players should be registered based on the grade that they will be in for the 2024-2025 school year.

Practice Location

The committee will do it’s best to keep your player in the quadrant (NW, NE, SW, SE) in which they live. Practicing in your quadrant is NOT guaranteed! This is dependent on the number of coaches that volunteer to coach. For example, if we have 40 2nd girls from the SE and only one coach, not all the players will be in the SE.

If you register for the REC program you are agreeing that you will practice anywhere in the Rochester City Limits. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN if you do not get the location you want.

Practice Nights

Kindergarten – Tuesday

1st-2nd Grade – Mon / Wed

3rd-4th Grade – Tue / Thu

5th-6th Grade Girls – Tue / Thu

5th-6th Grade Boys – Mon / Wed

7th-8th Grade – coach’s choice

**Practice Times are determined by the coach. Most coaches choose 5:30 or 6:00 pm

Outlying communities

Practice location and nights for teams in DE, PEM and St Charles may vary. Contact your local coordinator (see the Rec Contacts below) for more information.

Dates

Practices will officially start the week of September 2nd (coaches can opt to start the week before)

All games are on Saturdays with the first games on Sept 7th

The last games will be on October 12th

COST

EARLY BIRD Registration (May 15th 2024 – June 10th , 2024)
Grade K = $80
Grades 1st/2nd = $90
Grades 3rd/4th = $100
Grades 5th/6th = $110
Grades 7th-8th = $80

**Please note- Grade 7/8 will be "street soccer"- this means the players will practice all together and on game day they will be split up randomly to play the game.

Financial Aid is available for any family in need. Families that are part of WIC, SNAP automatically qualify- simply upload a pic during the financial aid application process. If you are in need of help but do not have a WIC or SNAP card, please fill out the financial aid detailing the reason for the need. The financial aid application will appear once you log into your playmetrics account and click on club programs- It will appear at the top of the screen.

REGISTER FOR FREE BY BECOMING A HEAD COACH FOR OUR REC PROGRAM! WE WILL PROVIDE ALL LESSON PLANS, AND EQUIPMENT. PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING AS THE PROGRAM IS BASED ON VOLUNTEER COACHES. WE WILL REFUND YOUR REGISTRATION AT THE END OF THE SEASON
